Warranty Coverage


  1. Residential Projects
    “Lifetime” refers to the life of the product while it remains owned by the original residential customer.

  2. Commercial Projects
    Commercial customers receive a three-year limited warranty, covering both materials and labor.

  3. Labor Warranty
    TOUGH Coatings warrants all labor performed to be free of defects for a period of three (3) years from the date of installation.
    Customers must report any suspected defects within the warranty period.

  4. Covered Defects Include:
    • Blistering
    • Peeling
    • Scaling of the coating

  5. Remedy
    TOUGH Coatings will, at its sole discretion, take all steps deemed reasonable and necessary to remedy any valid defect reported under this warranty.


Exclusions – What This Warranty Does Not Cover


  • Physical damage, structural movement, or substrate failure
  • Vandalism or modifications to the substrate/coating
  • Mechanical impacts, burns, flame exposure, chemical spills (solvents, acids, brake fluid, gas, or oil)
  • Environmental conditions including windstorms, lightning, or saltwater exposure
  • Damage from nails, screws, plant growth, or animal activity
  • Abuse, neglect, or poor maintenance
  • Normal wear and tear or natural fading
  • Cracking in the substrate due to shifting or expansion
  • Hydrostatic water pressure or moisture vapor
  • Oxidation or weathering-related discoloration
  • Delamination due to poor substrate conditions or substrate failure
  • Wood, decks, or pressure-treated lumber
  • Existing or future cracks in the substrate

Note: Repaired areas may differ in color or texture from the original floor.



Warranty Terms


  • Warranty applies only to original purchaser and is non-transferable.
  • Applies only to surfaces installed by TOUGH Coatings.

Liability Disclaimer


TOUGH Coatings’ liability is limited to the total fees paid for the installation.
TOUGH Coatings is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages including loss of profit or business interruption.


Surface Condition & Safety


  • Coated surfaces may be slippery when wet.
  • Friction additives may be used but do not eliminate all risk.
  • TOUGH Coatings is not liable for injury from slipping or falling.

Additional Terms & Conditions


  • Quotes are valid for 30 days.
  • Minor damage (e.g. drywall, trim) may occur and is the customer’s responsibility to repair.
  • Flake particles may enter HVAC ducts and may require cleaning.
  • Work zones must remain closed to other trades until cured.
  • Customer must prepare a clean and dry environment 48 hours before and 24–36 hours after installation.
  • Item removal by TOUGH Coatings will incur a $125/hour fee, added to final invoice.
  • Fans or air systems should not operate during install to avoid imperfections.
  • No traffic (foot, pet, vehicle) is permitted for a minimum of 24 hours post-installation (unless otherwise stated).
  • Loose flakes may expel during curing. Avoid walking barefoot until fully cured.
